Dated : 18th March 2020
Thank you for your invaluable support. I am writing to you on behalf of the Club to assure you that your health and safety is our utmost priority.
As the situation around the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are constantly monitoring the updates from the World Health Organization and Government agencies. In light of the current situation, we have implemented additional precautionary hygiene measures across the Club based on the Government guidelines for prevention and transmission. This includes sensitising our Staff to the protocol prescribed by the Government authorities, sanitisation of all areas with access to hand sanitisers and practice good hygiene. This will assist in keeping the Club as clean as possible and to prevent the possibility of transfer of the virus. There is no reason for Members to stop using the Club but precautionary measures involving good hygiene are important for everyone to adopt. In the Club, we believe in having an informed, attentive and careful approach to the situation. We take responsibility of ensuring your safety very seriously.
Please do not come to the Club if you are unwell and please adhere to the recommended hygiene procedures.
If you are concerned that you have encountered the virus, please follow the government advice and self-isolate in the first instance. It is also recommended that you call 111 for medical advice.
Therefore, as long as it is safe to do so and we follow the government’s advice and public health guidelines, it has been proposed that the club will stay open.
As of Friday 20th March 2020, the following will be implemented:
The bar will be open Monday to Friday between 11am to 3pm (will close earlier if quiet)
The kitchen will be open between 12 and 2.30pm
The CLUB REMAIN closed every evenings and closed all day at the weekend.
All Hall bookings and Entertainment will be postponed
Saturday night entertainment has be cancelled until further notice
We will reduce the number of attendees at Wakes to 20 People
A message will be sent to the members updating them on the situation:

Please also note that Cindy will stay on site to manage the bar and liaise with the members. Cindy has been appointed as Club Secretary (during Keith Manchanda's absence) until further notice.
Please be aware that the club will be running on skeleton staff which consists of 1 member of Bar Staff, 1 member of Kitchen Staff and 1 Office/Admin member of staff.
